About Susan

Marin’s leading Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher, Susan Hauser, is the Founder and Owner of an original new concept called NOW the Bay Area’s newest — and most unique — multi-modality studio. Just say “Yoga in Marin” and one name always comes up first. Susan’s classes are high energy based on the Baron Baptiste Vinyasa style. Described as fun, effective and thoroughly satisfying on many levels. Students speak of amazing music, life-changing outlooks, a supportive community feeling, while some add that they “never knew yoga could be this fun”.

With a Yoga mat as her therapist, Susan got through some challenging times when her husband passed away from cancer leaving her with two young boys to raise. Susan credits Yoga with clearing her mind, being present in the moment and manifesting the clarity to move her life forward. She now shares her passion and love for teaching every day saying, “Yoga has enhanced my life and here I am NOW!”

Voted “Best Yoga in Marin” by Marin Magazine and tapped by CBS/KPIX Eye on the Bay as the outstanding Yoga teacher in the Bay Area, Susan’s dynamic and energetic teaching style, which brings strength and balance to her students’ bodies and sharpened focus to their minds.

Susan is an ambassador to Lululemon, Athleta and Hiball energy drink. She has taught at the Wanderlust festival and approaching her fifth year at world renown Esalen Institute. Most recently you can see her gracing the January 2017 cover of Marin Magazine.

Susan Hauser is the Founder/Owner of NOW, new om world, the Bay Area’s most diverse multi-modality studio. NOW offers the best of yoga, TRX, high-intensity conditioning, strength training and cross training. Susan’s vision for NOW is to create a community that supports both the physical and mental growth of its members. Susan credits Yoga with clearing her mind and getting her through raising her two young sons after her husband passed away from cancer. Yoga allows her to be present in the moment and manifest the clarity to move forward as she shares her passion and love through teaching. “Yoga has enhanced my life and here I am NOW!”

Susan teaches a fast paced, dynamic flow, focusing on toning, strengthening and stretching, while bringing greater clarity, control and peace to one’s emotional state of mind. She swam for University of Miami on a full scholarship. Her yoga classes are open to all levels, but geared toward athletes. Susan’s class has the feel of an amazing workout of challenging yoga poses that are set to an incredible motivating music. She brings her love of yoga and of people to the studio with her everyday, and, as a result, has amassed a large and devoted following of students, Susan has become a strong presence in the Bay Area yoga community. If you haven’t had the pleasure of taking one of her classes, you should definitely do so — but be prepared to work and sweat.

She studied with Baron Baptise and completed her teacher training in Baptise power vinyasa. She furthered her education and studied anatomy, physiology, methodology, sequencing and ethics completing Yoga Tree’s yoga alliance training 2011. Her classes consist of challenging vinyasa sequences following the Baron Baptise Vinyasa style.
